Well the Galaxy S4 Mini just became official! Samsung has just released the official specs as well as announcement of the Galaxy S4 Mini. While they will be showing the new little brother to the S4 off at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy/Ativ event on June 20th, they've released the spec sheet above as well as some images. The S4 Mini will feature a 1.7GHz dual core (probably Snapdragon 400) processor, a 4.3 inch qHD AMOLED display, Android 4.2.2, GPS, GLONASS, 8GB internal memory, 1.5GB ram, 1,900 mAh battery, 8mp rear, 2.1mp front camera and LTE plus 6 different bands available for different markets. All in all a pretty impressive little piece of hardware.

Just yesterday Samsung announced a special event it titled 'Samsung Premiere 2013' and with 'GALAXY' and 'ATIV' on the cover. It is expected that the company will be making several new hardware introductions including some Android Galaxy devices as well as some Windows Phone based ATIV devices. The Galaxy S4 Mini is widely believed to be one of the devices that will be shown so get ready for June 20th as it's just around the corner. Now quite a bit of leaked info about the Galaxy S4 Mini has made its way onto the web over the past few weeks. Like the Galaxy S3 before it, the company is looking to release a similar devices that is smaller in size and slightly less powerful along with a diminished size factor for those looking for something a little more purse worthy. Specs of the S4 Mini are rumored to include a qHD Super Amoled 540x960 256ppi display, a BIG.little 1.6GHz dual core Exynos 5210 processor, 1GB of internal and 32GB user ram, 8mp camera and 2,100mAh battery. The design is expected to be consistent with a scaled down full sized S4. Along with the S4 Mini, other rumors have the company possibly introducing a Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S4 Zoom

Chock another first down for the Galaxy S4 as according to Bloomberg it will be the first phone enabled to use Verizon's soon to be rolled out AWS super fast LTE. Now Verizon's version of the S4 already has the hardware chops in place so all it will take is a downloaded upgrade to the software. Of course Verizon hasn't quite finished rolling out AWS yet so there's that as well. Still it's a nice bit of future-proofness that we're happy to see us S4 owners receive for our hard earned cash. Could you stare down a Galaxy S4 for 60 minutes straight without blinking in order to win a free S4? Well that's what took place in Zurich's main terminal if a video promotion above is to be believed. Taking place on May 16th we see a bevy of willing participants fend off all kinds of distractions including an arguing couple, flirtatious models, remote control cars crashing into our feet, motorcycles driving around and more. Now participants that didn't last the full 60 minutes did seem to get some kind of consolation prize but the grand prize winner walked off with his own S4...and a celebration worthy of a birthday. The S4 of course features eye tracking technology for it's eye scrolling feature and this is a great way to promote it. Think you're up to the challenge? We wouldn't be surprised if the S4 staredown comes to a city near you.... Samsung Stare down Zurich

In the most confirmable proof yet that Samsung will soon launch a 'mini' version of the Galaxy S4, the company today accidentally outed the new phone on its own apps site...at least for a time. Samsung's Official Apps Site let's users organize their apps by device compatibility or a number of other criteria. It seems this morning TGSPOT.co.il, an Israeli tech blog noticed the new addition of both the device name and photo. The new smaller S4 is expected to be released soon and will sport own specs from the flagship including a smaller screen, rumored to be 4.3 inches, a 1.6 GHz processor, 960x540 display, 8mp camera and smaller and lighter body that sports a similar design to the regular S4. No word on its release but it's expected soon...and for a slightly lower price than the S4.

Google held their annual developer conference, Google I/O up in San Francisco's Moscone Center last week and while they didn't introduce any Nexus hardware, the surprise of the show was their announcement of a Galaxy S4 'Google Experience' phone available for those that want the Nexus experience on Samsung's flagship. Available in AT&T and T-Mobile versions, the 'Google Experience' S4 will receive the latest OS updates just as if it were a Nexus device. Priced at $649, the phone features 16GB of ram, an unlocked bootloader, LTE support, and of course the latest Android OS right out of the box. This should appeal to developers as well as Android fans that have been looking for an alternative to the company's Nexus 4 which while a great phone itself is lacking the removable battery and Full HD display of the Galaxy S4. So what say you...will you pick up a 'Google Experience' S4?
