Galaxy S4 Apps / Music starts on it's own
« Last post by sunswhisper on March 27, 2015, 10:14:54 PM »
This started yesterday. Every time I take my turn on "Words with friends" my music in my folder starts playing. I have to go in and pause it. Then when I take my turn again the music starts up again! Anyone know what is going on?

Samsung has introduced their latest flagship, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.  Featuring QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution in a new metallic streamlined design, the new S6 offers cutting edge performance and specs.  Other features include a new Samsung Exynos processor with the world's first 14nm mobile 64 bit processor, 16mp/5mp cameras with F1.9 lens for awesome low light performance, super fast charging that gives 4 hours of use after only 10 minutes of charging and of course a choice between the S6 Edge's breakthrough angled display or the standard S6 both with industry leading QHD AMOLED displays.

The next version of Android, called either Android L or Android 5.0 will feature a new design language that was introduced by Google during their last I/O conference.  The new look of Android is called 'Material Design' and is meant to emulate the look of flipping through colored paper for a more natural, possibly pastel type effect.  The overall look is more colorful and flatter and is expected to be easier on the eyes while also more satisfying visually as you move through the operating system.

The site SAMMOBILE got their hands on an early build of Android L as it's being implemented on Touchwiz for the Galaxy S5 and has put up the above video where we get a good look at it.   While some of the familiar Touchwiz features and screen still retain much of their old look, we see that most if not all of the icons have been redone and there's definitely a new color scheme at work on multiple pages.  For all you Galaxy S5 owners it's worth taking a look at to see how your phone's OS will look in the next month or so when Android L starts rolling out to your handsets.

Galaxy S4 Apps / Take advantage of the s amoled screen.

An old app I've had for years, is still around. Fireworks Arcade, by Big Duck Games. Now, I believe it did have games in it, but just watch the show. Quite realistic, with real recorded explosions to go along with it, including the resounding echoes. There are over 250 fireworks apps, and there are probably many just as good, but this has tricks. Besides watching the show, tap the screen. Run your finger down the screen. Top notch effects, mesmerizing on our screens, and it's FREE.

Galaxy S4 General Discussion / Life proof? You bet
« Last post by kgomberg on September 30, 2014, 01:09:09 AM »
We all know about the S4 active that can go underwater at 3 ft for 30 minutes. Now, how about a case that can let you go under for TWO meters, 6.6 feet, has an anti reflective optical glass window over the camera to take advantage of the superior picture quality, AND is shock proof from a drop of two meters as well? Lifeproof came out with it. It seals over the charging port and headphone port and has a waterproof headphone extender to plug in without removing case. Downside? The front and back of the case are a thin plastic that looks like it could scratch easily. And the eighty dollar price tag could make you pause, but think about it. You can double the specs of the S4 active, and you can even attach a lanyard to wear over the neck. It looks similar to the Defender case, but this fared well in reviews, which the Defender did not from what I've read. I've been more than happy, and yes, I put it underwater for thirty minutes to test it. Then I did it with the phone inside. That's faith.

Galaxy S4 Help / Re: Stupid Backup Assistant!

You might want to download the free speaktoit assistant. She (Sam, unless you want to rename her, and download Samsung female voice, realistic) is very adept at understanding spelling and doing tasks. She'll automatically replace the built in assistant.
